Steps to Strength Short-term Rehab
Our Steps to Strength short-term rehab wing offers a comfortable place to rebuild strength and take steps to recovery. Steps to Strength features on-site rehabilitation, state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, dedicated dining room and living room, and enhanced amenities for the comforts of home.
Pulmonary care
Our pulmonary treatment program provides enhanced and advanced pulmonary care to residents who need continued management of respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, bronchitis, and post-acute respiratory failure. Respiratory therapists are available on site or as needed to provide consultation to nursing and rehabilitation staff. Necessary rehabilitation services are available up to seven days a week and are incorporated into general rehabilitation. Pulmonary care patients receive disease-specific education for disease self-management and lifestyle modification (e.g., exercise, energy conservation, and smoking cessation).
Wound care
We are very proud of our wound care outcomes. Part of our success results from having a staff nurse who specializes in wound care and assists in assessing, treating and managing surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and related wound and skin conditions.
Restorative care
Restorative nursing care is that “little extra help” for those who don’t necessarily need rehab, but still need additional assistance to continue improving or to maintain their current level of independence. From exercises to increase or maintain strength and mobility to assistance with dining, patients receive the encouragement, cues, and support they need.
